Hello, Hello, Hello… New Flat Roofs Needed for the Nick - Roofing Today

THE FLAT ROOFS at Arpley Street Police Station have reached their end of life and tenders are being invited for their removal and replacement.

The replacement of the flat roof system, includes removal of redundant glazed rooflights, and the removal and replacement of lantern lights over leaded roof domes with ‘UPVC lanterns’. Additionally, all necessary access equipment and edge protection should be included in bids.

The work is scheduled to start no later than 10 June 2024 and be completed by 19 July 2024. There will be a site visit opportunity on 22 April 2024, which must be pre-booked.

Arpley Street Police Station is located in Warrington and occupied by the Cheshire Police Force.

Although Warrington Borough Police pre-dates the Cheshire force by one year, having been founded in 1847, the original Arpley Street Station building opened in 1901.

Today, the police station is still operational, occupied by the Cheshire force.

The building at Arpley Street houses a Museum of Policing with many interesting artifacts on display. These include uniforms, records of crimes and Chester jail records. Not only that, the museum also collects historical records and photos of members of the police forces and will do research for tracing family genealogy and family trees.
